Your Real Life Story
“Love the life you live. Live the life you love.” -Bob Marley
How many times have you silently wished that someone would walk in on you during one of those 'perfect to you' makes-your-heart-melt kind of moments and take a picture? Secretly capturing the little moments that make up the story of your life.
I know I have.
It's this feeling that has made me so passionate about capturing real life behind the camera. Nothing posed. Nothing staged, or dressed up. Just life, as it unfolds.
For me, in this phase of my life, that is me hugging my son while he is on the toilet, because he is potty training, and he asked me to. My dog parked underneath my kids when they eat and my 9 month old daughter's ridiculous hair always hanging in her face, because bows, clips, headbands, and hair ties don’t stand a chance! In 10 years, I want to look back and remember this tiny house we started our family in.
In 10, 15, 20 years, what do you want to remember from this phase of your life? Is it your son's insistence on drinking out of the same pink My Little Pony cup, because, well, everything tastes better out of that cup? Or the way your daughter rubs her blanket between her perfect chubby fingers as you nurse her to sleep? Or maybe it’s the bedtime routine, that inevitably, is never, actually routine? Or simply the way your kids make each other laugh and cry simultaneously?
Sound familiar? Are you smiling right now thinking about all of your families "mundane" but oh, so special and unique moments? Then this is the documentation session for you!
What does a Real Life Story session look like? Well, that depends on you!
Is it taking the dog for a walk to the park and getting ice cream on the way back? Cooking dinner then sitting around the table catching up after everyones long day? Maybe it's Saturday morning snuggles and play time in bed before your kids force you to get up? Or maybe you've planned the 1st birthday party to rival all parties! Whatever those moments are for you, that is what we will capture, including all the unplanned, 'perfect to you' make-your-heart-melt moments that happen along the way. Real life.
